You lose your entire character's equip in D2 unless you were in a party with a friend who could loot your corpse. In D3 you lose everything on him, 100%.

Stop trying to deny the fact that all your equip goes to SC allowing you to resell makes PoE HC a joke, because it's the truth. All your 20% gems in your equip, your gg thicket, your 5-6l armor, all go to SC and are easily sold for 50%+ of their HC value. This is a fact, it's not debatable.

By GGG's design, you get nothing back from dying in hardcore then transferring to softcore, and still preferring to play on hardcore.

It is only by illegal means (Real world trade) that allows hardcore players to regain some of the wealth lost.

Well quite obviously I know that jsp has those threads. I could care less about poe threads, and have never read anything in their trade forum (that wasn't linked from here).

So a better statement would have been "Not only do the jsp trade forums have countless "selling SC gear for HC" threads, so does PoE" since I was referring to RWT (specifically jsp) anyway.

But anyone selling sc gear for hc gear most likely means they play hc only or far more often. And people playing sc could care less about hc mode/gear (meaning they have no hc gear), so I doubt these kinds of trades happen often (on poe forums).

And yes, it is illegal, despite how often we get away with it.

So my point still stands.
