I think they catch people by association. Catch a big RMT account, which they are always doing, and lock/ban anyone who traded with them.

Sort it out when emails come in.

If they are doing it this way its only a matter of time until you are caught b/c you can't control the actions of people you trade with.

That RMT'r could be someone who is 90 and hasn't been caught yet.

I do wish I was more diligent though, it's easy to weed out the risky accounts if you look at their post history. I honestly think someone who is always buying or selling several hundred ex at a time is one that is high risk. Eventually GGG will notice them.

Also it does seem they changed their algorithm in the last two leagues, which leads to more people from here and other places being caught.

Now that I got one strike, I won't risk another.

I guess standard is more safe.

All we can do is speculate. But I would guess large amount of currency moving are more likely to be flagged in league than standard.

You can almost know the guys are IN when you see the high levels in new league, skilled and using top items, speaking poe urban language fluently, but still creating a new account each new league...
With all characters ending naked after less than two months, almost certain it was sold on RMT or D2jsp. Those are often baddies who got their initial account banned (for various reasons, incuding rmt), since this time they play this way.

yeees i am innocent !1 i mean dont get me wrong, i dont like ggg and it goes years back, so i dont consider many things illegitimate when dealing with them. for example allience from this forum made changebacks multiple times and scammed ggg for who knows how much money. and honestly...good for him ! they are a shit company and i dont think of what he did as immoral at all

but there are differences between him and me! first of all, he likes to look flashy me, not so much. give me a tabula and a goldrim and imo thats the prettiest char ever second, i hate ggg much more than he does because they tried to blackmail me years ago, so i wont chargeback money because im not giving them money in the first place. and third, i live in serbia and my months paycheck can buy 2-3 of their mtxs so yeah...wouldnt do that even if they were the best company in the world

i even have the emails saved if you wanna see how conversation with them went. but basically they said i scammed money but wouldnt say how much. then i was like "you expect me to pay but dont even say how much", and they were like "fuck you, best regars"
