I hope so as well. It is also going to take significantly more time and currency investment to make GG items now, and they are probably going to take even longer to sell due to the significantly higher price they will be listed for. Not to mention with the threat of all of these thousands of people saying they will not participate in the next league due to the changes as well, that means the market of people to sell too will be even smaller.
IMO they are shooting themselves in the foot with this change. Of course people won't see it this way who play only SSF/HC, etc. I only play for trade league, and the economy. It's basically invest into a few characters and work the system to make currency. It's an economy simulator with the side bonus of being able to go kill monsters / min-max / do fun things when I want a break.
But with these changes comes great reward too. I already have a method lined up to make currency. One has always been there, and one will become much much much better if the harvest nerf follows through.
