I may look into re-installing Path of Exile through Steam this time.
When I played it back in 2015 and 2016, I had the stand alone client only.

So if I use my Steam wallet, can I purchase in-game cosmetics and pets through the Path of Exile store transactions? I had always wanted to buy a pet but never knew how. But if it's as easy as using Steam I'll be able to do it. Just want to make sure it's possible.

Tough choice for me to make. I really want to stay loyal to Diablo but POE is really enticing to play again.

Infinite dungeons is interesting, but I think trap/totem/minion and possibly even some bow builds will be pretty bad at it. (although I think they would be great for the escort card part, I doubt it'll be that hard compared to bosses)

If enemy scale infinitely, there will be a point where kiting/dodging won't work anymore and you'll need to over-stack leech. That's sort of what killed D3 for me with rifts tbh, since excessive pack density, scaling, and time limits completely killed any kiting/skill aspect of it and just turned into keeping up buffs and stacks with hotkeys and run past everything useless.

I guess we'll find out, but right now it looks like BV impulsa builds would be very good for this league. Got both leech and scaling covered due to exploding enemy HP damage.

In every league before this I would basically reach endgame and get fully geared within 1-2 weeks. Then there was almost no point in playing anymore.

I think this is one of the few leagues I can see myself playing for more than 2 weeks. Really like the idea of being able to do non-boss content without having to prioritize full MF. Finally able to invest 100+ ex into a character and actually have it be useful.
