because everyone who complains is an armchair expert who think they are a game-design genius that knows better than a whole company filled with actual game-design geniuses. Functional analphabets who read the patch notes, watched Chris Wilson's game design conference, and played the game enough to know the mechanics pretty well get a feeling that they are experts worth hearing. That's what we call the Dunning-Kruger effect.

If anythung, nerfs are required to help change the meta around. If anything, it forces people to try new builds, which can ultimately result in new mechanics/builds/item interactions
In my opinion, it is better to have new builds become meta due to nerfs than it is to have the same builds be the meta for consecutive leagues
This further promotes certain items (uniques and item mods) becoming desired which in turn will facilitate the sale of unused/less popular items

My main issue is that they released information as to which items will become legacy (Melding of the Flesh for instance)
This allows the richer 1% of players to stock up on them and control their prices
I think they were around 10-15ex pre-release of dev manisfesto, and now they are around 55-60ex
Imagine a player was farming and saving up to finally get their own Melding and then overnight they find out it'll become legacy and now costs 6x the original investment

Information about whether or not an item will become legacy should remain undisclosed until the release of the patch where they implement such changes
This prevents any sort of price manipulation and makes it so every single player is affected by the change


no one really cares whether someone has a large stock of items on standard, though

This game's design is imo the best you could imagine for what it claims to provide (PvE isometric arpg). What's argueably bad though is the puke-juice graphics of top-end content, but that's a side-effect of a sandbox arpg with (almost) no hard caps on numbers.

Also, what is controversial in saying a top-end game-dev studio that hires the best devs in new-zealand is filled with geniuses? They're certainly not your average devs that couldn't code a bubble sort if their life depended on it.

Flagellant flask nerf is most annoying one to me. Finally had something to combat RSI and they delete it.
Now you are required to have a Mageblood.

/e and that they think any of the "buffs" they did to useless skills make them useful. Most of those skills will never ever be useful and should just be removed already.
Still no love for conversion trap either

So minion builds based off an item like chains of command are even worse off than they were before, which was pretty bad. [Only one even viable was Soulwrest] But I guess we're supposed to spend nine days crafting a single ring, brick it in the temple, spend nine more days, get the success in the temple and then maybe it'll actually be good.

idc about nerfs, some of them are necessary or fine..


the problem is their buffs, they didn't buff shit skills at all or meaningfully


but none of this really matters for me I play the new leagues for a fresh reset regardless
