1 needs an exalted orb to be used on it to gain an affix
the other needs an 18c beast on it to gain an affix

if i'm adding an affix it goes (from a blank amulet with 3 prefixes)
exalt orb --> prefixes can't be changed (2ex) --> scour --> total cost 3ex
vs
prefixes can't be changed (2ex) --> beastcraft add a suffix remove a prefix (18c) --> scour --> total cost 2 ex and 18c




what am i missing here?

Just went and tested it, it works like B.

added a suffix for 12c, prefixes cannot be changed stays on the amulet.

meaning
exalt slam --> exalt slam --> prefixes can't be changed --> scour = 4ex cost
prefixes can't be changed --> beast craft --> beast craft --> scour = 2 ex 24c cost

for the same result.

Your method in the long run will actually cost more because you'll have an extra 1-6 tiers of unwanted mods and it's also more time consuming, time= money

Didn’t think about blocking unwanted suffixes with crafting first tbh, still new to meta crafting. The benefit of this beast crafting is I can get Ilvl 77 beasts and now can no longer rioll ilvl 78-83 mods which made my chance to roll any of the 4 mods I wanted a 1/13 instead of 1/17.
