heres the problem with this. the people who agree with me wont comment because theres no need, but people who dont agree will comment. then a noob might read your comment and think he can play whatever he wants  thats the same reason that makes a normal porn video have 85~90% like ratio, while some furry anime tentacle shit will have 100%. because normal people dont even click the video in the first place so they cant dislike it
i mean i believe what you said, that you managed to clear the entire game with non meta skills etc. but it just doesnt work for 95% players, meaning that 95% of whoever listens to you is gonna have a bad time. i know you mean well and i have nothing against you, but it just doesnt work for the majority of people :(
I guess it depends how a new player approaches the game.
I just meant that if you really want to learn the game from the ground up it's better to just pick a skill and go with it.
Sure you might fail a few times and progress towards endgame more slowly maybe even need to make several char attempts before you get there, but this is learning by trial and error and quite effective.
I personally don't use guides or PoB at all. I pick a skill I like and then I roughly know how to scale it best and which defensive layers make sense and are attainable. Without such knowledge ssfhc / ssf is kind of hard as you are limited to the items in your stash and can't just google for "best meta build with item x & y & z".
But you are right that not everyone is interested in understanding the game like that and for quick success your method is the best.
