- craft + melee range

Minus the loss of:
- 1 helmet + 4 sockets
- 1 historic in the duellist or ranger area

Explaining why only 3% of top players 97-99 playing cyclone are using Iron Grip.

I mean, it’s a maximum of 25% more damage but you’d have to hit a sweet spot at 80% crit to get 25% more damage, aswell as have 100% accuracy (or hits cannot be evaded). Also you get blind immunity I guess, but it’s not a widely used mechanic for mobs.

If you have less or more crit chance before using the jewel, the damage gain will be diminishing, aswell as if you have less accuracy.

Now, what sacrifices does those potential 25% more damage come with? First of you’re obviously sacrificing your only historic jewel (let alone a maraketh jewel) which could have been used for another historic jewel. Furthermore you sacrifice the jewel slot it’s in, and the points you use to get to both a free node and a nearby jewel slot. Best case scenario that’s only 2 points if you’re traveling through the area anyways. A jewel slot and 2 points is easily at least 10% more damage on the tree and possibly 7% inc life on a rare jewel. Lastly, you could just use a diamond flask, which has it’s sweet spot at almost the same point at less cost.

TLDR: use another historic jewel, get crit other places(flat crit is better) and focus on crit multi instead.
