I would say it needs a 3rd life to actually be "top tier" in that game, only 0,03% of the playerbase have actually killed the end game boss.
With my friends tommyvv, snyft2 and eggson (that guy is one handed though so we have to carry him a bit and he slow down us but w/e we accept everyone) we are currently doing alot of ledge runs trying to build up for the next act, but thing aint easy i tell you.

Ever think that if you spend 2000 hours playing a game you must have liked it?

but do i want to play a game for 2k hours just to be viable for end game? no.

This game has ladder seasons, you can play it for under 3 days and be viable for end game content.
2,000 hours would be spread over quite a few seasons.
