it does not matter if it actually chains or not. the first hit does 7*15% = 105% more DMG . 90% more to the second target if there is one. if not the first hit will be the same of 105% more dmg.

if u get +3 chains, the first hit will do 10*15% = 150% more dmg to the first target.

tencent just doubled the damage and made the clear-ability of arc god tier now, because of the secondary arc which essentially doubled again the "AOE" potential dmg. the secondary arc does not chain but it does again double damage for free. typical chinese influence. all gets buffed and overpowered.

yes, nothing was overpowered before the chinese, who are known for their fucking hard grind mmo's, bought ggg

jokes aside. arc was "fine". it could clear all content pretty easy and with a totem in addition to your self cast, u had over 1 Mil shaper dps with pretty standard gear. so why do you buff the damage over 100% as a developer??!

can u answer me this in a normal fashion?

none of the top 10 faster/stronger builds uses spells, all use attacks... i assume thats the reason? also going arc instead of glacial cascade was stupid to begin with, they just want us to use different spells so they can sell different MTX, not a big deal

static blows and the new arc gets u always 50% increased damage with shock now, ele focus is useless with arc since shock is now very easy to get.

Not exactly double damage. As the fork/chain thing does not benefit from the more multiplier as it cannot chain and always has 0 remaining chains. Not a deal breaker as you don't need all that extra damage for clearing but it is not double the damage.

sadly they removed it from elementalist. (replaced ailment effectivenes with ignite)

Is it even worth spending so much passive points for shock chance and effectiveness when you can just straight up grab damage nodes? Won't just one stupid Vaal lightning trap solve all your shock problems.

Shock chance? Not worth.
Shock effectiveness? Possibly.
Either way, you shouldn't be using vaal lightning trap if you're running arc. Waste of sockets.
