I don't think it's that bad.
You can always use the tradechat to buy currency, map fragments or cards. It works for me just fine.
Just buy a lot at once so you don't need to do it all the time.

Jsp trading has its occassional idiots and bm traders as well.

An automated trading system would create other obvious problems that some players can't predict for some reason.

Most of these people complaining are people that plays standard.

My build are 100% specific and I need specific items to finish them, and I always manage to find said items in 2-3 days. IE making resist work with running shavs, chayula presence, skyforths, headhunters and coe.

If I can do this, anyone can find their items. Unless you're cheap as fuck trying to scam people that knows exactly what their items are worth.

I think you forgot to take into account that not everyone has dozens of thousands of hours spent on PoE and not everyone is planning to spend so many.
Sure you have your hands on multiple shavs, hh, skyforths etc. but not everyone does.

I'm doing fine on Standard myself but nowhere am I aiming something close to what you just mentionned. Too much time to invest and frankly there are many things I'd rather enjoy in life before doing that.
All of the above is only one of the reasons why you would want to negociate your stuff and get a better price for the items you need, which requires you to use poe.trade, to pm multiple people and see which item, that suits your needs, would be the cheapest for you to get.

I don't look for it. I just set up woops, lots of time there will never be the item I need regardless. I'm just saying that if I can get what I want for my builds, anyone can.
