care if they die.

they do care, they think it is horrible and unreasonable to lose like 20% exp when they die......

You missed the main difference. A braindead monkey or a bot will have a lot of trouble with hardcore where in softcore they will be on top of the ladder.

Btw you don't need to alt-f4 in hardcore if you intelligently build and play your character.

I love watching someone Alt-f4.
Mainly because it is retarded (because it is not instant).
Exit to login-screen however, is instant. But please, keep alt-f4ing all you like (You will die eventually)

you're wrong. it is instant, killing the client process sends exactly the same data to the server as logging out.
this is just a false information that got spread by kripp(i love the guy but as you can see he ain't perfect, he can be wrong sometimes).

and don't take my word for it, try it yourself, also it has been confirmed by ggg as well.

after testing it myself with my friend, logging out is instant and alt F4 is not.

dying in softcore isn't as punishing as it is in hardcore, but it is still something smart sc players avoid. you still have to have a good build to actually gain levels.
