no, PoE won't hurt d3.

The reason is simple, everyone that's left on d3 are players that won't move from it because, well, I don't know, they have bad taste?

What I mean is that d3 is already dead if you compared it to it's release numbers. PoE will pick up tons of it's old players, but the release of PoE won't do any more damage to d3 (or very little).

It will damage what's left of d3, knowing blizzard they will release 1.07 on Poe ob, but I know what game Ill be playing.

D3 1.07 design preview is up now and it doesn't impress me much. Pathetic that and indie game company can put blizzard to shame so badly. I can't wait till Poe starts making money off micro transactions and blizzard fires JW. As long as Blizzard doesn't buy out GGG just to shut it down. That's my biggest fear.

id be surprised if 100k people play poe after OB compared the the millions that play d3 i think its safe to say d3 wont even noticed poe

It would if everyone who played d3 knew about poe, but i doubt that people are going out of their way looking for new games - hence players keep switching games within the same company.

I highly doubt that there are millions left playing D3,

Lucky if there's 20k people on NA servers if I had to guess. But once they add mp to public games we should have a better idea.

And tl2 is an ok game but it has no staying power because you can just hack all the best items. Poe has way more replay ability with ladder races and build diversity.
