Path of Exile IS released. 'Open beta' is the soft release of the game, any characters/items you acquire will never be deleted or moved to a different league.

F2P games always release into open beta so they can continue to make changes and improvements and avoid legal issues.

When the game is 'officially' released, it will be more like an expansion with new content.

Most boring game ever - it won't last more than a few weeks before 90% of it's population is gone.

It's build on novalty and nostalgia - two things which guarantee people like you wil flock to it claiming it to be the best game in the universe - and the same two things that guarantee it will fail and get boring very quickly

GL with it though - I haven't played D3 in about 3 months yet you don't see me posting on the forums about how much I dislike the game

When highest viewed post on poe section(rules and beta key) has less than twice the number of views than this post and it's been around since last october, you know poe would never even come close to overtaking d3.
