Pretty sure you can get 8k for $100 steam money all day long on jsp without breaking any site rules.

You just said yourself the cheapest mirror costs $179.

Do the math.

ok, jus did,

So the profit on 1 mirror with this calculation is 30.07$. Is this worth the the time and the risk of 2 transactions on different sites? ah well if that is the hobby of someone why not...

How tf do you think rmt sites get stock? Seriously, how? I am genuinely interested in how you think sites have stock to sell thousands of mirrors and exalts.

that's 1 mirror, now imagine spending all day doing this with exalts and mirrors.

now also imagine the world is bigger than your country and these people live in places where money goes much further than it does in yours.

there's no risk for them, they don't buy until they have a buyer lined up, this is why sites say "delivery in x hours!" they take orders and then buy stock for those orders on demand.

I'm not sure why people are fighting this idea and would rather believe ggg suddenly hired people to police 1 rmt website. They are required by law to hire within NZ and give fair wages, all of this shit is automated lmao.

That could be part of it.

We also don't know how long they wait to ban/lock someone. So while we may be accusing the last person we traded with, they may have gotten you much sooner and just waited and watched.

I do think GGG has either changed their internal policies or flagging automation. Because it seems like people are caught much easier today than before.

I used RMT sites for years(not always and stopped a year or so back) before coming here, never had an issue with a ban. I used to think the age of my account protected me somewhat.

I never liquidate everything into FG at league end, usually just enough to get rolling easier at league start.

Haven't been banned yet, but I'm going to try and test the waters still.

I think they have accounts here as well as monitoring trades with the heavy traders here moving big volume. Possible defence could be only trading with accounts a few years old+, in the event it is GGG with accounts here doing trades to catch players. Wouldn't take much effort right? They can just spawn accounts with with whatever currency needed and do trades, note the account name and hand out bans.

Maybe, who knows.

GGG run the item sites, they ban jspers for competing with their own item sites.

tencent doesn't touch international poe (the game we play on) they invest in games and then publish them for the chinese market. They handle the china servers (which are very different). They might advise chris on broad aspects of poe but they wouldn't be having a discussion about rmt because that doesn't affect the chinese servers.

New Zealand has laws that force companies to hire from within the country unless no one in the country can fill the role. Customer support (who handles bans and appeals) wouldn't be something you could hire from outside NZ.

none of this matters though, whether you have a tinfoil hat on and think they have spies on jsp or think its scumbag cash shops drawing their attention; your trade habits should be the same. Avoid multis, trade on high level characters, avoid flippers, and before you trade with someone check to see if they are doing similar.
