happened to me a while ago :

Rolled an amulet yesterday with 4× life with high res, spent aprox 10 ex on it... my guidie bought a 3 t1 life fire cold res and t2 lightning res amulet for 2 ex, but the seller went afk for about 9+ hours...

He was afk at the time, and the seller pm'ed me, I picked up the amulet for him, I struggled with my innerArds morals, but i gaved it back to him (in exchange for 2 exalts) (thing is, I poe forum mailed the gut 2 days ago, but i didn't let him know I was first in line(I really needed it too))

I got mad at myself and vaal ed my current amulet, it died along with my soul.

(I got my guidie to whisper the seller when he logged in, he got REALLY MAD, when the seller told him it was sold (to another guy (me)) he was pm'ing the guy for 9+ hours every 20 minutes)

I personally would pay up to 40 Exalts for said amulet.

I can finally contribute a real gem of a story.

today, my highest level hardcore character level 87 died. i was sad, but figured eh ill send one of my hardcore atziri sets to softcore to see if i could kill her with my 87. so i start it and realize i am outclassed, so i ask online for help clearing it. a person joins, dies to some bizarre invisible enemy bug. offers to give me one of his sets and run me through it.

well i was impressed, he had mjolnir and damn that thing puts out dps. we get all the way to the end, he kills the queen, and a catalyst drops lol.

Honestly, Catalyst is the best drop in HC. They're 10-12 EX, and everyone wants them.

Hope is 8-10, and almost no one does them so there's little demand.

If you have perfect reflexes and a good build, it's incredible profit, The VERTEX is 15-20 ex. All other items go up from there on out....

I know one guy who does them in HC and he makes the biggest bank.
