poe isn't even that complex, there are fucking card games more complex.

Not for us, but for new players, they have no idea what they are getting themselves into.

There are so many resources just on even youtube for a game this big that nothing should be to complex to understand.
Everyone bricks their first skill tree, but that aside and crafting intricacies, nothing is that bad, first league players kill sirus pretty often, and i consider that to be mostly end-game.

tldr a couple niche complex mechanics that can be 100% ignored and clear 100% of content in game, so not that complex of a game.

loot explosion for new players because what is loot filter?

I know the basics but it seems like EVERYTHING changed. The problem now is that the wealth of knowledge online is now gone because its changed since then. The last time i played was during legion. You made your flasks how they've always been, could count on most of the stats for items being the same and you would chase elder/shaper in maps. I started playing ED contagion because i knew there would be a lot of new stuff that i'd have to learn and didn't want to have to learn a new build on top of it but I can't even do that now. You literally cant even find a build guide that is accurate for this build right now. It tells you to get adrenaline quicksilver flasks and the items have the old stats from when i remember in legion. Since i made this post i have managed to figure out at least a bit of each of the new league mechanics but it shouldn't take hours upon hours of research to play this game after only not playing for a year lol. I can tell you this though, if I'm this frustrated after playing previously i can guarantee the newbies are going to just drop it instead of taking what is essentially a college course on being able to play a video game.

Not to mention it's a never-ending cycle. That player will look up a guide for flasks or whatever, then will stumble upon a video that's a little old, so that knowledge is now useless. Then that player will now search again, and let's hope he finds guide that's updated.. (this doesn't just transcend to flasks, but every mechanic/feature that was changed)
