for years ggg had shitty launches for the first 24-48 hours, then the past 5-6 leagues have been solid launches serverwise (they still fucked up in-game things that had to be fixed but at least servers were fine) and then last league and this league have been just about the worst starts yet. not sure what they changed but much of what we are seeing this launch happened with the past one.. you would think they would be better prepared this time.

and then their "fix" was to lock all old content/characters
i need to delete a character slot, or purchase a new one to create a character an can't do either of those things
fortunately im not freaking out like many people cause i realize im not pushing the ladder and I dont play for profits which are the only two reasons anyone should care if they can play in the first 24 hours or not

add to it that they are actively pushing streamer accounts thru the ques and stability issues just screams to add credence to the streamer rng claims as clearly they can and are tagging certain accounts with better/more access
i get why they are doing it... looks really bad for a launch on streams when all viewers see is sitting in a que for 45-120 minutes... its the lack of transparency on the matter that ultimately is pissing people off. and i can already see the post coming from Chris apologizing for it and not being clear about it beforehand etc.... he is getting very good at the apologies.

I would rather play poe when the servers disconnected then d3 at it's best. Every time I try to play a bit of D3 in 3 hours I am done. I can't stand the game anymore. It makes me puke.

Agreed for sure. First there is poe then there is a long time nothing. D3 isnt worth mentioning and d2r has to prove itself but in my opinion not better then d2. Old game with better overall graphics and ugly chars.

Difference is for d2r you have to pay. No options possible.
Nobody is forcing you to buy any mtx. In theory you only need 1 premium stash tab. Will cost you 40 points = $5.
Still i played poe for 2 or 3 years before i bought my premium stash tab bundle.

acquisition and procurement both still function fully so the paid stash tab isn't even needed but a qol improvement
