They are not.
It takes a few minutes to complete them and most of the times you can pick a few chaos, alch's and regrets.
Rarely you can pick 10 chaos that you have to defer 5 times.

Currency was raining from heists, this is alright consistent low amounts of currency but offers no where near the same "raining" as heists did last league.

but if you take into account that every single person is basically getting more chaos just from rituals it does increase the amount of chaos in circulation
