I swapped from LL Scion EK to CI Scion Spark and it feels much better. Clear is better, defenses are better, all in all I think it's better.

More the better ofc. Less mana reserved jewels = less auras

If you have the 5% reduce helm with 15% reduced (one of your 50% auras) enchant, 6% reduce amulet, 10% reduce chest, and 15% reduced socketed gems shield, you only need 2 mana reduction jewels to run everything. Of course, your precision and clarity will have to be very low with setup, but it still works.
