Different people come from different places, I personally love games that are hard and challenging and require quite a bit of thinking to make something work. Some might just look for some fun but let's be real, path of exile is not designed for you to log in 10-15 minutes a day few times a week. I do understand where you're coming from and that's partially true but people that tend to get help will overlook some important aspects and mechanics of the game and then just get stuck later in the game and then quit again. If you really want to help a starter out do like i did this league.
My friend who played a little bit before, started this league, even though he's in Europe and I am currently in New Zealand, we couldn't really play together but i was there to help him out in every step of the way and in the end we both were rolling hundreds of exalts in crafting and made multiple different builds and i fixed a bunch of different stuff on his characters that he couldn't figure out himself right now.
Imo this is the kind of help you need to give not just kill something for someone and give him items that will make him strong and potentially miss an opportunity of making an upgrade for your gear yourself or fixing your character, however not many people have time for that, i was lucky to have a bunch of extra time during the start of this league. Again, each to their own.
