Someone who has never played poe gets the best possible insight by installing the game and playing it.
Trading will most likely frustrate you depending how patient you are. I don't mind it but it's a regular complaint about poe.
PvP is never discussed anywhere so you can say it doesn't exist. You *can* pvp in poe though.
You could wait ~ 3 weeks until next league or start blight right now.
It's a tower defense league and it's pretty good, I think.
