I'm currently trying to figure out why my pc doesn't want to play poe very well.
if memory serves, even from new it wasn't the best performance.

i mean my chars probably do have the capability but most bosses that i've come across so far make poe freeze up and i'm not really for losing exp gains because my pc is having trouble handling the game.

it sucks because i've tried a heap of things advised. turning down texture quality lower frame rate targets etc and i mean it does work for the most part but every few minutes i'll get mad freezing and stuttering(sometimes doesn't happen at all other times it's almost permanent) , loss of sounds and it all comes in at once.
and i'm not sure what it means tbh if i need to get a new pc or update something, i'm terrible at software/hardware stuff

I've tried a couple of these, the thing is it's not permanent shitty performance. at times it will run fine i'll have no issues for an hour or more other times as soon as i enter a map it will just freeze up
it's hard to articulate what exactly happens but it's like whole game freezes and if i click it will flash (where i can briefly see my dashboard at bottom of screen, kind of like alt tabbing quickly) and i'll get the loading mouse icon and then white screen,
followed by the crash thing where it asks if you'd like to wait or force close program. If i wait for program it usually logs me out sometimes i'm dead sometimes i'm not if happens in packs of monsters.

i pulled apart my pc just for a clean and it was pretty dirty at first i thought it helped performance but it hasn't.

another thing i've been using cc cleaner, these freezes seem to be worse after i do the clean, unsure why.

think i might have to just invest in a new pc, this one is 3-4 years old, kind of disappointing that it's not even that old yet it can't run poe.

You may need an SSD instead of a HD. Apparently that is the single most important upgrade you can get for PoE.

yeah, i've been looking haha, not sure if i'm going to invest couple hundred dollars if i should just build a new pc altogether.
Also most local stores around me only have external which i'm unsure of aswell.
