literally all the streamers are talking about using occultist with winter orb, nobody is talking about deadeye. You might get maximum crit potential from deadeye, but you also close yourself off from about half the passives necessary to make the build any good.
You can rack up all the crit you want, but if your base damage coming from the skill is low as fuck, crit isnt guna help that much.
