My hammerdin for pvp used to use coh and I would duel people for their enigmas, I never lost.
Teleport is massively over rated.


You can duel anyone you like, I challenge guild members a lot.

if you wear a coh and try to duel, you have to joder personally i dealt with such duelers by reviving kurast bazaar yetis with eternity rw and chainlocking the living shit out of them until they went to akara then if they cried about revives, i would troll them by bashing their shameful behavior...ah those were the days ...

Nah you just charge and spam a field of 15k one shots everywhere, if they try tele stomp you charge back into the active hammers.

that is called joder yes someone with spare time will just revive act3 magic immunes and you wont be able to deal with it even if you knew how because no enigma not to mention that the upper tier duelers will always know where you are unless you fully strbug with AP or something similar

thats not dueling, that is shameful behavior that deserves condemnation

The problem with PvP is most fights are just one shots if you have respectable gear. On top of that, projectiles are just king, as proved from the Battle Royale themed event.

Maybe for xpac scrubs who were mechanically and mentally challenged.

The real PvP in D2 was happening on Classic where people didn't have level 30 skills, teleport on every character, BO on every character, inventories full of charms and items full of bullshit runewords.

Making a 200fg character on xpac and slamming everybody just showed how bad they were. There's been tons of competitions on private servers between classic players and xpac players and the xpac ones were dumpstered every single time. It's not even funny.

I don't know anyone who was a pure xpac pvper that ever managed to do anything worthwhile on classic.

that would be the same as pitting mcgregor vs mayweather but with using only boxing or even better comparison, imagine you were training for years how to drive but with using legs instead of hands. so ofc you will win in a battle where only legs can be used for driving, the problem is...no one drives like that dueling on classic is just purposefully gimping yourself, and i would really enjoy seeing a classic player dueling normally vs someone good and winning (normally meaning with xpac). and i dont mean if you find the best classic player you can and then pit him against xXxMfPala_PolacyxXx but instead find a "pro classic player", and test him vs someone who is actually good (someone in the range of dha, he plays poe too and should be on this forum at least some time, not sure if he still plays d2 though). so yeah, win that in a ft5 and you can talk how classic duelers are better. until then, just no

tldr: extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, give me at least a youtube video of a pvp player i know is good, losing to a classic player in a normal battle, and i will admit you are right
