If you want to beat hotgm you need to have a balefire on switch to melt the max blockers, I did it easy.

Ty guys, im going to play standard first because its a lot cheaper, lol.. don't care for the additional features atm since im brand new to the game, probably going to start playing league next one or two.. I only play this casually so yeah, need to play and learn the game first and standard is so much cheaper!

Some questions I have:
1. Do amount of sockets and connected sockets matter when purchasing an item?
2. All skill gems are purchasable from shops and what not right? Are there anything special I need to iso for that isnt?
3. Any other useful info that I might of missed?

you want all sockets linked, besides the two abyssal sockets in Tom fist, which cannot be.
the guide will list any gems that should be quality. which you can either level to 20 and convert them to 20% quality or I usually buy around 15% quality ones and use a few gcps.

yup, not a single legacy item on there.

and yes # of sockets and links matter, however pretty much only for 6 socket items. the rest are easy to do but an armour with 6 sockets will cost more than one with random number of sockets, and getting all 6 sockets linked is where you will pay the most.
if you do plan to try and socket and link your own item, remember that ilvl of the item can make a difference in the # of sockets you can get, if the ilvl is low you wont even be able to get the max # of sockets on it without vorici crafting.

1. more sockets -> item usually some more expensive, but most important the links, THIS makes items significantly more expensive, much more then the number of sockets ( especially 6 links since 6-linking is rare a accomplish via 1000+ fuses, this costs money ) ... and obviously everyone want 6l items because this maxes out the offensive strength ( in most cases, there are some different but no important here )
2. you can from act 6 on buy all gems in town at lili roth ( you need to level them though ... ) . wanna buy pre-leveled -> go poe.trade
3. path of exile is just too huge amount of information, maybe search youtube for some starter guides, and use poe wiki for reading stuff that is new to you. if you are new you need some weeks ( as casual month ) to get a little into it, still far from understanding all though

advice additionally : if you think about trading here on jsp ( you got some fg xD ) : NEVER EVER mention anything jsp related in chat ( also outside of trades ) -> they scan chats for keywords

Yeah 3 more damage multipliers in scepter with lvl 25 scorching, cant be blocked, murders them.

what you use on second slot? any dmg support item? or just shield?

Lioneyes or a good spell damage shield.
