I just started.
I was told to either go for a build that clears content really fast...OR
stack a bunch of rarity/quantity that can clear low low maps really fast.

I went with the rarity/quantity and i make almost an exalt an hour without counting good unique drops.
I guess the trick is clearing fast and being able to run or move super fast.

My friend clears his map in a couple minutes and it seems kind of stupid but he does profit a lot so he has to be right. He farms super hard maps and sells all the expensive maps and i guess sometimes you can make like 60c profit from just doing one map o.o

i got rich pretty fast selling map (t15 map for 6c lol at ppl qqing about map sustain its the easiest ever ) , selling abyss jewel that i craft finding good loot etc i also level 6 lvl 3 empower wich 2 turned into 4 .

maps were super expensive early this league lol..

map sustain is absolutely not the easiest ever lol
