Yep. Playthrough actually seems longer now with the new acts as compared to before. In fact, in ZiggyD's interview, Chris said something about how it would be a bit longer, but it's more "streamlined". so it goes by faster. However, in my opinion it feels like it goes on for longer lol

prob the main reason I never make a 2nd character in a new league is cause leveling through the acts again is boring af.

it's the main reason i'm not playing the new league, might consider it in a week or something when i can equip broken gear and rush past everything. I absolutely hate it, you never return to that content ever again and there's no reason for it to be so long outside of the very first experience for a casual new player. It's trash

1-10 is not as bad as going trough the act 3 times. Might take some more time but doesn't feel as repetitive as it was.

a1-a3 3x was way better, it was quicker and you felt stronger when you got to cruel again and killed merveil at twice the speed. It gave a sense of power/character progression relative to normal.

But in any event you're really correct. D2's pvp is just amazeballs. Always was fun to do baal runs, etc to level up and then go back to pvp after you got that skill point. Felt extremely rewarding, and incentivized me to do more PVE content.

a lot of games can't really offer that experience anymore, which is sad
