Well, the people who were supportive of GGG as an "indie game company" care. It's now a huge slap in the face, and it will also disincentivize further supporter pack purchases (majority of that goes to Tencent instead)

it was bound to happen they model was make money this league for next now they really can just focus on content, mtx will change most likely they will still need to make revanue numbers but i bet you they did the math, and it works out either way they not have a yearly budget w/o having to worry about if they sell supporter packs

I'm glad you used the word if, because I think you are deeply underestimating what just happened. The majority of people who supported GGG because they were supporting an "independent game studio", are now questioning whether they will buy again. That's not good I feel.

And I know you said they don't have to worry about supporter pack sales, but the same can be applied towards MTXs. People were supporting an independent game company! Now they are not. That's huge.
