Not sure what strat you were running, but think of wisps as the most important multiplier - without it, everything else is kind of irrelevant imo.

Since you were farming apoth cards, I'm gunna guess you weren't doing titanic wisps.

i did the same thing without bloodlines and 1x wisp. alva and max. influenced monster for altar spawns. 2x alva scarabs for magic monster increase
if you get enough quant through shrines, alvas gonna poop out divs :)
