They still havent explained in detail what is replacing important things they are removing.
They said they are bringing new acendancy tiers to existing ones and removing labyrinth and removing fusings and jewelers and giving us a skill tree page for skills.
They have not told us how we are going to be attaining these things now, honestly the strongest character mechanics in the entire game up to this point and the things every player strives to get first and second. This has me worried because what they replace it with could be even more grindy and/or cancerous.
The reason I bring this up is because ggg could see fit to do something terrible with our stashes, or sneak in anything else for that matter, once path of exile 2 comes out. Or they come out with an entirely new set of currencies for path of exile 2 either rendering the ones from the old game obsolete or whatever the fuck.
They've done this shit before. They bring out the biggest and best on the hypetrain getting people all riled up and end up delivering and box of broken vases. This time the hypetrain being exilecon.
They are getting rid of fusings, not jewellers. Fusings we hold will automatically be converted to jewellers at a rate they will announce later on, probably 4:1.
Edit: The only thing im sad about is that 6 linked items (weapons, bows and armors) will no longer be a thing. But if they did this skill system rework and turns out into an even better game, then it will be worth it.
Edit 2: Yeah, I know the new "6 linked thing" will be gems, but its not the same. Gems all of them have the same mods, instead 6 linked armors/weapons, were really unique (imagine 6 linking a good armor or weapon with high explicit mods, makes the item super special, rare and very unique) and just the fact that it was already hard not only making it a 6 socket item but also 6 linked (which was hardest or very expensive), takes this unique feature out of the game. But like I said before, if all of this is made to make the game even better than before, then so be it.
