Hi I just started recently. Can any experts teach me how did he craft a white socket and +1 to support gem?

I like to keep my CWDT at level 1 for easier procs

white sockets can be crafted with vorici @ research syndicate
+1 support gem with your craft bench after unlocking it

i blow myself for 9000 for easier procs
i heal for 166.6%of damage taken

and i manual cast a 1link, so i can link more gems to cwdt

it's lvl22

i was confused with empower support, witch only increase active gem lvl

My question is why would he double down on maim and put -ele resist in what is obviously a poison claw.

Maim gem have really low chance to maim? Ive never used it tbh. Looks like this is for cobra lash.
