theres an unwritten rule we all know, that your first poe char will suck no matter what so lets share stories !

for my first char i wanted to make a tank. didnt matter if i did zero dmg as long as i can just stand there just taking hits and not dying. so i was thinking, since im making a tank, i will do it on hc even though its my first char because hey, its a tank, it wont die so doesnt matter if im on hc ! very smart idea, right! i went for sword/shield ofc, i think i used aurumvorax for res stacking. all in all, the only thing i was right about was that i would have zero dmg the char was not very tanky though to compensate for not having dmg and survivability, i leeched in parties and by following majini anyway, the char died in cruel act3 barracks because i didnt have an ssd back then and i needed like a minute to load into the area, and majini wasnt playing so i had to play on my own

lightning arrow 6link + blast rain 6 link doomfletch with kintsugi armour crit raider is first real character i can remember

I made a couple characters before that in closed beta when a3 was just barely a thing and dock farming was where it was at and you were lucky to get to level 70 after tons of runs. And usually died instantly to voidbearers every time it lagged at all.
at the time i was hoping for something like javzon, but there really was nothing, i think i ended up using marauder (there were no ascendencies) with marohi and kaoms, at the time there were basically only two good weapons marohi and lioneye's bow and you either did ground slam or lightning arrow.

ahh yeee, marohi was like 2-3 exalts back then also i havent had a 6l for my first 2-3 leagues

it was either you or rouv ! i think was you because rouv had no dmg either, he was almost as bad as me i mean you were bad too, but were classes above any of us !

the only templar i remember is ontarian and he had no boots and no pants
