In 3.8 Fortify Support gets a more damage multiplier, thus, Havoc rend / Pain bane is rendered obsolete.

My question is, How much PDPS Will I need to get, in order for fortify to out scale havoc rend?

Bare in mind also, 2hander are receiving a 20% damage buff.

Lets predict, that fortify provides a modest 20% More damage.

That ones in synth leage tho right? And Id imagine theres better bases than that. Ones with triple implicits or something.

Only a matter of time until you get one with closer to 1.1k pdps in standard, with the availability of eternals.

So id wait for that.

Yes, but my whole point is to prove that synthesis base is actually garbage, because of the secret inner fortify "more damage" buff impending.

if we take it at face value, Havroc rend is 1k dps, with this elder base axe it's also 1k dps, with 20% more, its 1.2k dps WITH fortify built in.

it's 1/5 MORE dps than havroc rend Without synthesis / corruption, and more defensive.



So... 1.2*1.1? 1.32k dps?

I still think 1.32k vs 1k axe, the 1.32k dps will win out, especially because it has fortify.

we don't yet know what numerical damage mod fortify will have

the math here is nothing compared to all the game mechanics i need to know to solve this
