Weapon:
Quill Rain Short Bow
+(10-20) to Dexterity
100% Increased Attack Speed
+(25-50) to Accuracy Rating
(50-100)% Increased Projectile Speed
50% Less Weapon Damage
Physical Damage: 4-11

The damage of the explosion is considered projectile damage, but not weapon damage.

523-785 fire damage per charge * 5 charges = 3270 avg base fire damage per explosion

30% Reduced Area of Effect radius

+/-200% increased elemental damage / fire damage / projectile damage /AoE from gear+passives

Damage becomes
3270*3increased damage*1.66 More Damage = 16284 explosion damage at 5*Fuse

Attack speed for bow:
base weapon speed * ((100%+%weapon attack speed)/100) * ((100%+%attack speed from passives and offweapon gear and support gems)/100) = Attacks per second
1.55 * 2 * ((43passives+40gear+44faster attacks support+14hast aura)/100) = 7.471 aps
1/7.471 = 0.13385 sec per attack
5Fuse*0.13385 sec = 0.7seconds needed to get 5 Fuse up!

16284 damage per explosion / 0.7sec needed for the damage = 23262 Damage per second
23262 effective dps when aim perfectly between 2 taregtes just in 0.7sec
16284 /1.7sec between 2 explosions when fighting 1 singler target = 9.6k dps vs single target, excl the 1sec per 1.7sec of shooting whit a other skill!
23262 effective dps when shooting errows in a tree/wall and monsters are nearbye

Pretty cool in concept, at least. Would love to see how well it works in practice.

A lot of people already running this build (Me included) LMP works wonders when combined with EA. I found that only single target EA was taking too long to kill packs, it's a lot faster with LMP, haven't tried with GMP but I don't think I will it seems like there would be too many wasted arrows with GMP.

no its not me!

i am planning a Quill Rain Short Bow guide for over a week now,
and Explosive_Arrow is great for it
Elemental hit not brings me above 3k, since it gets a -50%weapon damage
Other skill are not based on skill damage, more on weapon damage/gear damage

Fork/chain/LMP/GMP only makes it harder to time the detonation wright
i am talking, after 5 shots on 1 target, you want to prevent other shots from hitting it, so it can detonate in 1 sec
it would allow a multiple detonation, but will force you to stop shoot 1sec per 1.7sec
so keeping it simple and use 1 projectile per shot is fun+ez+allow to keep shooting+gives room for usefull gems

already testing it on a lvl48 char of me, a lvl1Explosive_Arrow +ias support+loh
its way underleveled, and still powing good!

Ias support is kind of a wasted support especially when using Quill Rain. You're better off using Chance to Ignite, or Elemental Proliferation, or Life on Hit (Due to Blood Magic)
