The better question is what do you want to do in game. POE gives some different routes to focus on, watch a bit of YT about endgame PoE and ask yourself if you want to do it.

Unless youre done woth main 10 acts cant realy boots that much..and there not fun in it anyways a
You do you but its not d2 people dont realy rush act much they just buy orbs and 1shot everything

content is rather self explanatory most of the time(there are a few exceptions)’, might find yourself overwhelmed at some point cause game is hitting you as a new player with something new quite frequently.

Still, I’d absolutely not recommend a guide for first playthrou, doing campaign (semi-)blind and get some first hands on experience with older leaque mechanics and early maps is a lot more fun.
Once you reached endgame (probably around pinnacle bosses or higher tier maps, thats where yolo builds can start to struggle) it’s time to seek some information from guides and wikis

Do act 1-10 + first many maps blind... dont follow anything, just try stuff out.

Then you can decide what kind of endgame you want... PoE has many different kind of endgames and different builds can deal with them.

I would just go through the campaign and see many of the different league mechanics and if something stands out and is very fun for you, you can focus on doing that mainly later on.

I also look towards PoE. and this is perhaps the best answer to start with for a beginner. hugged

This, you only have roughly a year or more until the second comes out which is said to help new players so if you can't figure things out, you can learn in time.
A lot of people feel overwhelmed I notice but just play what you enjoy and switch when you get bored or start to dislike it

I personally like fast maps so things I have to stop and take a lot of time I avoid but that's before I finish all end-game maps.

Also make sure you pick a build (if you do some research on it first) that a certain build doesn't need an item to do very well. Good luck and welcome to sinking many hours into a game. Lol.
