Maybe anyone made similiar experiences lately?

GGG just deleted (not banned!) one of my burner accounts.

The account literally doesnt exist anymore

No notification, nothing.... when I try to logg into that account it simply says "the specified account does not exist" ...

Its no big loss at all since there was nothing valuable on the account, but still somewhat suprising that instead of banning they now seem to simply delete accounts... actually made me laugh for a moment lmao

but still its gay af btw i know from personal experience that ggg now tracks mac addresses as well, which along with their censorial behavior would explain what happened to your acc basically this is like when you live in serbia and they shoot someone in the leg as a warning that next time they wont be so friendly and forgiving

thats why i never invest shit in something i dont own

edit: i got pmed that shooting in the leg doesnt happen only in serbia still, i think we invented it and mexico just copied it from us

I doubt that a mac-id-ban is what happened here cuz I have logged into other burner accounts from the same virtual machine....and only the 1 account got deleted...
Strangely I didnt even use this account for any JSP activities in the last couple of months....it really makes no sense lol?!

hmm in that case yes i agree its weird even if it was a warning they would probably remove more than 1 burner acc

That was my very first thought haha.....nah, i tripple-checked and also copy-pasted to make sure.... also my browser still has the account details saved... can 100% rule that out!

have you done something against the ToS with that burner account ? and yeah i know their ToS is longer than the side effect list for a pfizer vaccine, but still try to check that out

Well yes, I used it for JSP trades couple of times, but last time was atleast 4-5 months ago.... ever since that I only logged into the account for a few mins like maybe once or twice a month....

well then i guess if you used only that acc and not others, i would take it as a warning

if you used other burner accs also, that probably means they just closed it on 1st offense and couldnt connect you to other accs otherwise they would close them too probably paid accs go get better treatment than burner accs, who knows



edit: i confused myself because i drank a lot tonight, so im not sure what i just said and will check it out tomorrow

GGG's PoE client uses email address as account login so there wouldn't be a reason for them to ever delete it

And afaik, other client variants like Steam uses the actual Steam account information (which is also unique)

Unless they have some newly implemented system similar to old D2 LoD where older/unused characters are "deleted" then I can't think of a plausible explanation

Like I can imagine the very unlikely and rare chance that an unusued CHARACTER can be deleted or name changed because an active player might want it but deleting the actual account sounds weird
