If his budget is small, golf might not be a good sport for him

The fact is that people can enjoy golf in more ways than scoring.

Try a garage sale or something. Golf is one of, if not the most, expensive sports. If you don't have the budget then stay away.

And no need the be a douche.

i said im buying my dad a golf club set , i never said he had a small budget, if he likes the game he will spend money on it, but no need to buy expensive shit if
(A) you never played
(B) not sure if you like it

craiglist is the easiest way to buy good used items at the best price.

this concept is not hard to understand.

reread my first post, and stop being a douche.

If you buy him a really cheap set of clubs, he isn't going to get a true experience when testing out if he likes it. If that is the issue, look into renting a good set a couple times. That way, he can see what he likes and if he likes the game.
You are being just as much a douche as anyone but want others to help you out. I don't really get it to be honest.
