As title describes, I'm buying a net to practice my golf swing and ball striking. I obviously won't see the flight path of the ball, that I will save for the range, but at least I can use it to practice form, ball striking accuracy, and repititions to ingrain muscle memory to my swing.

Any tips and hints for using a net to become a better golfer???

you will need a hitting mat with a rubber tee, if you hit a bunch in one spot it will destroy all your grass and you will have to move the net. Grass on our range takes about 2 weeks to grow back until you could hit at the same spot again.

Make sure you have a good hitting surface when using the net.
Don't be getting out of tall grass because that wont help your game.
Just practice hitting the sweet spot every time, and hit as many balls as possible.
Practice makes perfect!

I have a little 4x4 hitting mat in my backyard actually. But it's pretty beat up and un-even now, probably could use a new one.

there are some really limited flight balls you should look into instead of a net. They mimic the flight of real balls (hooks and slices) some are made of hard plastic and some are made of a ballistic foam. I have a few of the foam ones, I used them for chipping this year indoors.

I believe this is the kind I had, they are supposed to go only 1/3 the distance of a normal ball.
