i am 63 years old ready to retire, i am under the impression that if i buy a golf cart, ballz and pajama pants i can play

anything else i need to take up this sport hobby?

its a sport first of all. You'll figure that out once you hit some balls for the first time.. and wont be able to move the next day.. especially at your ripe age.

You don't need to buy a golf cart, I'd recommend a push cart so you get some exercise. Get clubs and bawls, then go to the range and attempt to make contact with the ball
