So this Friday, I have a company paid golf outing. And when I say Friday, I mean 10 am, during work hours and of course during the work day. :)

I am golfing with my Boss, the VP of my company, and a fellow engineering co-worker of mine. The outing is 85$ for 18, a cart, and dinner and my company is paying for it in full. In addition to being paid for a day at work :)

I work in construction, electrical construction engineering, and in my industry these opportunitys and I should probably say these "free" opportunity come up from time to time :)

Anyways, I'm super excited and just felt like posting about it. Getting paid to golf.... god damn that's the life.....

Well.... just got home from my golf outing.

My team shot 4 under. Wining team shot 10 under.

It was fun ofcourse, but I had to put my driver in my bad 3 holes in and start hitting a fairway wood off the tee because my slice is just horrible :( I was using a 7 wood off the tee (LoL) but god damnit I can hit that thing STRAIGHT and far. Take out the driver and I'll hit it straight for a second, then it drifts furiously to the right.

Anyways.... thats not the point of the post. I played decent... but WAY too inconsistent. And my putting was horrible. We probably only used 5 or so of my shots in a 18 hole 4 person scramble. Conditions were wet because it's been raining so bad, and it took half the round before the overnight mist on the grass dried up.

It was a very nice course and a lot of fun. I love golf and I really want to be a bad ass golfer. I just started this year, and half kinda been teaching myself and have some pointers here and there from co-workers who golf. I might need to invest in some lessons though :(

I took some lessons when I was in middle school it did help tremendously. I can play golf now after not playing for a month and still do fairly decent. Maybe a little iffy with the putting but you need to practice that often to master it.
