recently i purchased a taylor made 52 degree because my 0-100 yard game was average at best
but some people i golf with own 52, 56 and 60 degree wedges
I own a 15 year old 60 but its very dinged up and im not confident with it
Should i just practice and get good with a 52 from 0-100 or should i get more clubs?
I have gone through this same dilemma, except I don't even have a 52. Just a pitching wedge.
What I have noticed from some friends of mine who are really good at golf, they have a 47 (pitching wedge), 52, 56, and a lob wedge (around ~64 degrees, usually used in sand bunkers around the green).
You have to be really good though to hit a lob wedge. You can swing full speed on that baby and it will on go 20 yards, but thats the point. High trajectory, little distance. I can't hit my buddies lob wedge.
I'll be going with a 52 and 56 myself. maybe one day down the road when I get good, I'll get a 60-64 degree (somewhere in that range)
Just my 2 cents
