I'm invited to go out with a group of 30 people.. and it's my first time. Heard it's going to be a full 18-hole course and we are playing " Best Ball ".. I checked Google and understand the basic way best ball is played.. I just have a couple questions...

--> Now 30 people in our group.. sounds like this is going to take at least 5 hours.. am I wrong?
--> Can I share clubs with my father or do I have to bring/ rent some for myself?
--> You think I can wear my checkered Nike Airs??
--> Do you buy your own tee's/ balls..???????

What else should I expect?

at least, could be less. some people play fast. meaning they shoot till they're done then the next person goes.
you can, but it's custom to bring your own clubs.
i don't think that matters
yes, you buy your own teas and balls, usually the golf shop supplies them however.

i've 18 / 30'd once and it was an experience however except to get tired about hole 10

therefore it's good to have the wait between turns... I'm not playing to win or kill my back... so yea.. I didn't even think about having to wait for people to go...

haha what a long day this going to be.

In some places, having your own clubs (and the bag that goes along with them) is mandatory.

--> Can I share clubs with my father or do I have to bring/ rent some for myself? Take your own clubs. Many courses require that every golfer have their own clubs anyway. Having your own clubs only speeds things up.
--> You think I can wear my checkered Nike Airs?? Most courses only require that you don't wear metal spikes or cleats. Though, a lot of country clubs might say something about shoes that are to "loud" so, it depends where you are going.
--> Do you buy your own tee's/ balls..??????? Yes, buy your own balls. And buy plenty so you don't ruin out after a few holes.

1. Probaly 5hours yea since its a big group but best ball usualy goes fast
2. You would have to call the golf club imo .. It really depends on the golf club but since its best ball id say you can share them it wont matter
3. Yes .. when I first started I was playing with my skate shoes np .. you just cant have metal spikes under them lol
4. Yea ... you should go buy them at like walmart or something .. dont buy them at the golf club itself cuz your gonna pay a shit ton more

106 for your first 18 isn't too bad. Averaging just under double-bogey golf (assuming par was 72).
