Im a +1 handicap, 18 yr old highschool senior and i hold the course record at my course in Houston Texas.

This is my tip, and believe me it is a good one.

I benefit more from 25 minutes of putting on the practice green, than i do of 12 hours spent at the driving range. When amateurs go to the driving range and "practice" 9/10 of them have no idea what they are doing. The majority of them are just beating balls into an open field without picking out a target, and not trying to fix something specific in their swing. The fact is, if you sit up there and beat balls endlessly without a target, without working on something specific, the only thing you are doing is building those bad habits deeper into your swing. Go to the putting green. You will use your putter more than any other club in your bag.

Drive for show, putt for dough...

<3 this thread, no idea there were any golfers on here besides me tbh lol.

Here's a tip I just thought of while posting in another thread.

White Golf Tees!

I use white golf tees because they leave a mark on the club face of your driver (a mark that is washable off) and this lets me know where I made contact and where I hit the ball with my club face.

Yes, sometime you can see the ball dimbles on your club face too, but this works as well :)

stand taller at impact, most of the people I work with that get under the ball too much either bend knees or the waist too much at impact. So stand taller when you hit it, and you should find the sweetspot more!
