lol all depends how you shoot...generally id say top flites arent great :D but if youre in the 100s theres not much point in buying thousand dollar clubs

i would say go for the dunlops or top-flites and keep practicing. the chances are that those sets wear down alot fast but then again, you didn't spend alot of money on them.
if you want something that will last you longer, look at the A-brand clubs. but it will cost you more ofcourse.

i would say... get below 90 and buy a really nice set of golf clubs.

Finally played some good golf last weekend. We had our club-championchips, 3 rounds. Both days were very windys, saturday also with a little rain, so the conditions weren't that good. Par is 72, so i shot 76-72-76, finishing 2nd. Had the lead after 2 rounds though with 3 shots, so well, dunno to be happy or sad :D. The winners handicap is +2.2, so he shot 1-under last round to get 36 stableford points :D.

Handicap is down to 2.1 now (had 2.8 when i started :P)

I manage a golf store, love the game. Atm I play with a set of Ping i10 (4-pw zz65 +1' over length bent 1.5 upright) G10 3iron hybrid, G10 4 wood, G10 driver all with graf pro launch red stiff flex shafts. Cleveland wegdes (dsg 52 60), Scotty Cameron newport 2 putter ( also have a 1.5 as a back up) thats only 13 clubs!! I might throw a spoon in there dunno but its nice to have options of spoon or wegde. With the loft of clubs today a 4th or 5th wedge almost makes sense. Best round is 76, always seem to struggle to break 80 But alas i have hit 3 buckets of balls this year. I know if I practice more ... if anything I'll hit the putting green and chipping green for a lil practice!! Thats where i seem to lose me strokes( min yardage/slope i play would be 6800/119). Have around three back up sets for friends to play. (Callaway x forged irons/ TaylorMade tp smoke irons/ Nike str8 fit driver/Cleveland hibore etc) I carry my driver approx 265, 7 iron carry 165. Been playing with TaylorMade tp red ball, also really like bridgestone b330.

Golf is one of my favorite passtimes.
I use Nike (Sumo) drivers, Callawy x20 irons and a combination of Cleveland Wedges.
I usually Golf at Glen Arbour (LPGA was held here few years ago)
But I played a round of golf at saint andrews with a national team.

Im now 17 and have no handicap :)
