The best things to work on for golf are your flexibility, strength, and explosion.
You should only work on these things after you have your fundamentals down.

stretching will work on flexability, shoulders, back and hips are huge
basic weight training will work on strength
explosion would be quick acceleration during the workouts such as box jumps and fast cable pulls
