yes i think it will be a good thing and i hope the media doesn't start anything up again about his past and just let the guy go

Why shouyldn't he play? His personal life has nothing to do with his professional. All the sponsors that dropped him will pick him up in a year or two. If he does play he'll have strong showing and be in the hunt to win it on Sunday. It's not like he just has completely stopped playing golf these last few months.

The masters is the best tournament for him to return to. Limited media and spectators compared to another other event he could've came back to. I feel bad for the people he is paired with though, it's going to be a circus.
