Golf is such a relaxing sport. No hard hit tackles, powerbombs, or elbows to the face. Nothing like any other sport. I love playing golf. How about you guys?

I don't play as much as I used to but I always enjoyed it.

Took me like 2 seasons to learn how to kinda control the ball and after that it was much more fun. Now I get pissed when I don't strike the ball right where before I would get pissed when I did and couldn't do it all the time

I always been kinda athletic and my wife's boss invites me to the torny's they do for his work... I think he just wants a good iron player... he couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a base fiddle let alone a green from 180yrds

When I 1st started golfing there was a lil course in our area... a guy I knew from the bar(Ron) took me there a few times and kinda taught me some stuff and got me below 100(was a glorified chip and put with a par 64)

Me and my buddy Tim left work early and went down to shoot a round... after we stopped in the bar and Ron was there....

ME: Hey ron just got done playin
Ron: Ohhh good how did ya do?
ME: <sigh> Well not bad... shot a 74
Ron: Ohhh damn the best I ever did there was 76. Your getting much better
ME: Yeah not bad... were goin back to play the other 9 tomorrow
Ron: ....

The best I ever shot was 70 on a par 72... normally in the mid - high 70's tho. When we used to go to Murtle Beach each year I usually was like a 4 handicap for the week. Kinda amazing considering some of the lunches in the gogo joints got kinda long... I learned MUCH about dollar dippin tho

better than me. the best i've ever shot was a 82. That was the best day, my friend who only played for like 2 weeks beat me with a 68. Some people got the skils for golf without even knowing it.

Here is another kinda good one... very 1st time I ever actually played golf(other than just hitting balls) was a bar torny.

Anyways it was at the course I mentioned above and the closest to the hole prize was on the 10th hole. Naturally there was ton's of beer/food drinks at the turnaround so it was really backed up there so everyone is watching including all the guys who are really into golf.

The prize flag is like 1 ft from the hole and it's a 190yrd par 3... I walk up with everyone watching and take out a driver(wtf do I know)... I hit a screaming line drive that lands on the apron of the green... checks up on a lil hill... rolls up to like 2inches from the hole. Needless to say the guys really got pissed

It's probly what actually made me start playin golf tho... This is a damn easy game(even tho I shot about a 120 that day)

I think I still got the Ping Iron's I won that day.

well, i dont have a gold caurse where i live in, but just listening to u ppl makes me wanna go find one and try it out

played once a year ago. did miserable, havn't played since
