Hi,

I have a Dlink WBR-2310 ( http://www.dlink.ca/products/?pid=470 ) router and it pretty much sucks.

On my network i have a WD Mybook Live ( 2tb NAS) + 1-2computer, ps3 etc + portable devices.

When i am watching a movies (streamed from my NAS to my ps3 via wi-fi) other people in the house cant play COD or watch a movie from the NAS as well because the network always drops/lags/bugs/freezes etc.

tl;dr ---- What do i need to check on a router specs in order to ensure that it will be able to handle haevy intranet traffic.

Any affordable suggestion ( dont want to spend 200$ in a router ) ?

Also, i believe that i have no device compatible with 802.11n.I guess that my problem is not speed, but traffic.

thanks a lot.

Edit: also, i have many ''regular'' modems laying around here, would a 2 routers networkhelp to handle the traffic ?

Get a Netgear gigabit router from Best Buy or Newegg

Those can be from 50-80$ depending on quality, and will certainly work for what you want. I used it to rout traffic between 4 computers at once all playing games, works great :)
