It's also happened to me at times, I usually just restart/reboot my computer and fixes itself.

done that never works i have also made new acct not working either

also tried reinstall a number of times and still not works

Hmm.. sounds like a firewall or another program preventing login

Did you perhaps check your firewall to make sure it isn't blocked?



Since I'm not sure what software you have on your comp, I'm afraid it's pretty much hit & miss from there :unsure: unless someone else can think of something.

And from reading from there, it seems aim is rather buggy/faulty if you're using Win 7 OS. But then, it could also be as simple as a port not getting through.

aim is on my exception list so it shouldnt be the firewall

I looks like aim can randomly stop working too :(
And I'm sure you wouldn't wanna use any other IM..

Only other causes I can think of would be OS, some other program inhibitting it or aim just being faulty on it's own - if that's the case, then I'm afraid I'm out of ideas, sorry.

I'm not sure if you've already tried this, but try renewing/changing your password then login to make sure it's not that. <--
